Introduction

Greetings and welcome to Bargain Bin Gaming, where discount games are reviewed in order to give you, my fellow gamers, a guide for determining which to buy and which aren’t even worth your time.  And in today’s oversaturated and overpriced market it’s always good to know where you can get the most for your money.

So before I get into it, I figured I should start off with a brief introduction of who I am and what I hope to accomplish with this guide.  Simply put I have spent most of my life gaming, from the Genesis, my very first system, to the modern era of gaming with the Wii and XBOX 360 (and Playstation 3 of course, but sadly I don’t have access to one at this time), I have been a steady gamer throughout.  And while I don’t consider myself to be hardcore by any sense of the word, I do enjoy a wide variety of games and consider myself a fairly well versed gamer when it comes to different genres and types of games.

Without rambling on too much longer about myself, lately I’ve noticed an interesting trend in my gaming habits.  Whether it be because I am a poor bastard, the fact that most newer titles are too short or derivative for me to be interested in them, or simply a feeling of nostalgia for the good old days, lately I’ve found myself drawn towards the older, and thus cheaper, games available at my local game store.  Sadly, a lot of these games have been largely passed over by the gaming world, and as such I am left to experience these games from an entirely uninformed perspective.  And with this comes the purpose of this blog: to review these older and potentially ignored games for the sake of other gamers.

This will serve a dual purpose.  Both informing gamers about potential games they might be interested, but for which the reviews are either out of date or insufficient, and also giving gamers a first look at these older games that they otherwise might not even know existed.

With that said I hope you enjoy reading my reviews and personal insights into these games and I look forward to seeing you at the bargain bin!
